Creatures so beautiful but seldom seen,
The most majestic creatures that ever have been,
Some dwell with the Earth deep inside caves,
Others in the ocean down under the waves,
Some with wings fly through the sky,
As one with the clouds soaring high,
Many breath jets of searing flame,
Not one single creature exactly the same,
Gaint snake-bodied, lion-headed beasts,
Are the fine dragons from the Far East?
Whilst compact long-tailed and stout,
With long pointed teeth from protruding square snout,
Are the Celtic dragons of Ireland, Wales, and thereabout,
From all the elements and all round the earth,
Magical dragons to legend give birth.

There's some really strong descriptions here, Dave. I found some of the structure and rhyming a bit off-putting but it's definitely worth working on - do you think you could write it without the rhymes?
